REI

Wow, I had a great experience on this trip to REI. I had to get in on the last day of their killer sale. I wanted to find a pretty legit camping chair and this was the perfect excuse. I got some great advice from Courtney. She knows her chair stuff! The rest of the staff was great. Graham checked me out and got a chuckle out of me with his humor. I appreciate the well placed bike racks out front as I rode my bike in this day. Also appreciate the electric vehicle charging stations as well, way to be on top of your game, REI!

My go-to store for gears and equipments for any outdoor activities. They have everything you need for camping, skiing, cycling, kayaking, running, hiking, fishing, etc. They carry quality products and top brands. They also have in-shop repairs and services. They have wide selections to choose from. Clean and well organized store. And most of all, friendly and knowledgeable staff that will provide you technical specifications for gears you need and to keep you safe on your choice of sports or fitness.

The #1 feature of this huge store for me is the customer service. I have never walked into the store and not been greeted, and then approached by a team member asking what I need and how they can help. I have purchased a number of items over the years, and have come to really enjoy that you can depend on the brands they carry. This store is NOT a discount store, but is high-end climbing, mountaineering, camping, and outdoor clothing. You can find the coolest little gadgets that make camping so much more enjoyable. I have a backpack from them that I have used for years, and still get asked if I just purchased it. I wish there were something that I could compare REI to in the Salt Lake area, but there simply is not. They have set themselves apart and really the only downside that I can see, is that their stuff last SO LONG that the must count on repeat purchases to upgrade all of a persons outdoor gear.

REI is an amazing store. I give it 4 stars for quality and selection. We just rented backpacking gear and the quality and rental price are great. However, it is not my first choice because i can get similar and sometimes exactly the same gear for less at other places. REI is guaranteed to have what you want, but you will pay top dollar.
